I beg of you, LibreOffice. Make better icons. I can barely see these on my 27” iMac screen. They are minuscule and make no sense. They look like a smattering of pixel confetti. I have already set their size to “extra large”. I do not think those words mean what you think they mean. My eyes are ancient. Take pity.

Sat down this afternoon to work on my manuscript and wound up writing song lyrics instead. I've never done that before. It was fun. Of course, I don't play any instruments and I'm not a singer and have no idea about making the music part of it. #AmWriting

@liztai I’d recommend downloading a trial version from the site and checking it out for yourself. I’ve used it since it was in alpha. I like it for longform writing. It’s feature rich which some people love (I do) but some people find it daunting. #scrivener

Utah is banning a whole list of books.

“The books include works by world-famous authors such as Judy Blume and Margaret Atwood – ironically the author of dystopian novel The Handmaid’s Tale.

The new ruling requires schools to physically “dispose” of them, the practicalities of which when discussed in June led board member Brent Strate to joke: “I don’t care if it’s shredded, burned, it has to be destroyed one way or another.”

It's now confirmed that my daughter contracted Covid at work (a local retail store). She discovered at least two of her coworkers also contracted it. The manager is pressuring them to go back to work with Covid. My daughter has refused to do so as she doesn’t want to infect her customers, many of whom are elderly. I'm sure this is not the only store pressuring sick people to work. Wear a mask while shopping, folks! #Covid #CovidIsNotOver
