It scrapes the home page as a test to see if the update causes a PHP fatal error. This is the same test used by core for editing plugins/themes.

@chris yeah but I’ve been using 1P for decades and can’t even begin to know how many items I have.

@chris Have you found some way to transfer all items from 1P to P?
