    @BeAware @rolle i mean, there must be some way of converting private posts to public because ryona.agency has an mrf that does that .
    I can understand the concern with that if someone was to use such code in their fedi scraper.

    my opinion is basically if it's not meant to be public but you make it public then it's wrong.

    i think fedi scrapers if its public posts are fine. I get the concern over AI that some ppl might have tho, but it does seem kinda inevitable. there are AI ppl on fedi, so it's kinda unavoidable tbh

    @Jain I like that you give users that choice. i find it ironic that some people claim to be anti-authoritarian, yet they use fedi blocklists and things, whereas you don't do that, and you let ppl block instances if they want to and give users that choice.

    @Jain if more of fedi was like this then there would be less dramas and things would be a lot less toxic .

    I have seen ppl get fediblocked just because they didn't block another instance, or one of the users on the instance interacted with someone that an admin on other instance dislikes.
