@gamingonlinux I am beside myself with the robust 20-yo medical community. The emergency room doctors and surgeons think nothing is as bad as what they deal with on a daily basis at work, so they blow off the idea of changing platforms

It's a stellar community, teaching and discussing current research. I keep begging them to move but only a handful have and most cross-post from xitter anyway 🤬😩

Let me say this again: #Bluesky is worse than #Twitter

The trolls are so much more graphically violent and quick to dogpile the mildest comment they disagree with

And there is zero moderation for violent threats

He's become one of the wealthy tech bros. He's laughing about all this and casually says if it gets bad here, he'll just jet off to Spain or New Zealand and abandon America. Because he can. I've kept him as a close friend but I can't do it anymore, knowing this #sad
