@pfefferle Following the blog profile rather than the author profile -- in #WordPress-#ActivityPub 2.0 the blog profile just "boosts" posts by the author profile, so the login name is still exposed.

Also this issue (#141) has been marked as stale on GitHub.

I don’t mean as a client, but it could store your main instance credentials and make favoriting things on foreign instances easier, or adopt a “share intent” to share things in a post.

@pfefferle I also don't want to share the post, since the plugin currently exposes the username rather than the nicename. This is a private name that I made separate from the nicename to prevent brute force logins.

@pfefferle One idea I had is for WordPress to reply with a private mention to the sender that says "Sorry, because @example@example.com is hosted on WordPress, they are unable to see your private mention."
