@jason For home (which sounds like your case) there's nothing wrong with a full update and reboot. For company production that may be a different conversation.
If you need an example playbook to get you started on your own, try this:
@ascherbaum@zhenech I personally prefer that I can choose when to run in the middle of a play, rather than not having that kind of control. But yeah, it's a matter of opinion at this point.
@ascherbaum@zhenech Also, the handlers don't necessarily need to be defined in a role, and you can call role handlers from different roles or tasks, as long as they are in the same play. So it's an interesting behavior, but it has it's uses.
@ironicbadger It actually does have a chat tool. I have used it multiple times. It can even read the error output from the terminal to figure out what is wrong.
On top of that: Edge restores even the multiple incognito windows I had open.
As for Chrome: first it doesn't even have a "close" menu option, so if I crash or have to force reboot, it's a coin toss about which of my windows is going to be restored. And you can completely forget about the incognito windows, those are completely lost.
"Heresy!". Sorry? YMMV. This is not an opinion post, just telling a story. Use whatever you want.
(I use Linux *and* Windows, at the same time. Not "or".)
I'm probably gonna say some heresy, but here we go: there are some very little things here and there that are better in Microsoft Edge than in Google Chrome.
"What?!" I'm glad you asked: I not only keep a lot of tabs open, but I also keep multiple windows (with multiple tabs) open all the time (in different monitors).
In Edge, if I crash or have to force reboot, or if I use the "Close Microsoft Edge" menu, all the windows are restored, to the exact same place they were before.
@researchbuzz@BrideOfLinux Back when I learned HTML in the late 90's I used to add the "Built for Netscape" button on every page. I never did the same again for any browser at all (not even IE).
I just spent almost a minute looking at my t-shirts drawer trying to decide which one I'm gonna use today, since I'm gonna have a lot of video meetings where I need to have the camera on.
Now I understand those "eccentric" people that have dozens of the exact same shirt. They say it saves time, but for me it would save the frustration of thinking "how many times did I wear this one?".
