This reminds me... @silverpill's Mitra account is already compatible with nomadic ActivityPub. His posts have a DID already. This means that existing Mitra accounts are switched over to nomadic ActivityPub.

But (streams) channels like yours that were created on accounts registered before 24.07.20 are still in the old, pre-nomadic mode.

Could there be interference here between (streams) without nomadic AP and Mitra with nomadic AP? Could it be that (streams) has problems with "nomadic" AP actors trying to interact with "pre-nomadic" (streams) channels?

"Nomadic" (streams) to "pre-nomadic" (streams) shouldn't be that much of a problem unless I've just managed to freeze your instance with my dislike and my comment.

By the way, is the new URL format with /.well-known/apgateway/did🔑 the new standard and set in stone, or will it change again?

I'm asking because Hubzilla is completely incapable of handling anything with such a URL. Not only can't it search for and import any content from (streams) posted under such a URL, but it can't handle (streams) content with such a URL even if sent from (streams) to Hubzilla contacts. It's queued indefinitely because Hubzilla doesn't know how to handle it, and I can't exclude that it increasingly clogs up the queue worker.

If this is intended to be and stays the new standard, it must have caught Hubzilla off-guard.

I've started a forum thread about this already, but with zero reactions so far.

An avatar roaming the decentralised and federated 3-D virtual worlds based on OpenSimulator, a free and open-source server-side re-implementation of Second Life. Mostly talking about OpenSim, sometimes about other virtual worlds, occasionally about the Fediverse beyond Mastodon. No, the Fediverse is not only Mastodon.Even if you see me on Mastodon, I'm not on Mastodon myself. I'm on an instance of what can be found in the streams repository which has nothing to do with Mastodon. In fact, it's more advanced and more powerful than Mastodon.I regularly write posts with way more than 500 characters. If that disturbs you, block me now, but don't complain. I'm not on Mastodon, I don't have a character limit here.I rather give too many content warnings than too few. But I have absolutely no means of blanking out pictures for Mastodon users.I always describe my images, no matter how long it takes. My posts with image descriptions tend to be my longest. Don't go looking for my image description
