I've been using firefox for atleast 7 years now. This isn't the first poor decision I've seen Mozilla make. Do you have any sources for the claims that they're flush with cash? Obviously Google pays them a lot right now but diversifying their income is a good idea to not rely on Google especially with U.S. anti-trust putting so much scrutiny on Google's behavior right now.

Just keep it off and give feedback through the link that you think it's stupid. It's another way for Mozilla to make money that isn't reliant on Google. I see no issues with this. 🤷
