What this means is that it can only be taken away from you. The government at its best is designed to protect this right by preventing others from taking this right away from you. At worst it is designed to restrict your rights and in some cases prevent you from exercising them.

You have an innumerable amount of inalienable rights. They end where others begin.

Walz, Evers, Whitmer, Pritzker, and even Beshear show there are Democrats who can stand up to Trump and not throw LGBT people under the bus.

My job got a 1 year free trial of the Office Copilot. It’s so awful, I don’t think I have used it for months now.

The sales pitch was that you could point it at some spreadsheets and pdfs or whatever and then say, make me a PowerPoint presentation for Q3 blah blah blah. I tried taking an audit report and seeing if it could do that and it couldn’t. Hours wasted trying to coax the thing. Nothing useable. Like the most garbage output ever.

What is copilot even capable of? Anything?

ActivityPub is amazing. If Peertube and Pixelfed and Mastodon all can interoperate and allow users on any platform to see any content or at least be a sort of rss feed for that content it’s truly amazing and the place on the internet I want to be.

The only thing missing would be, how would a traditional forum work? Or an image board? I barely understand how I can technically comment on lemmy stuff from this account.

Can Mastodon posts be seen in Pixelfed? Can Pixelfed posts be seen in Mastodon?

The fact that this is a real post by Donald Trump that he hasn’t deleted is crazy.

Bitcoin is effectively the opposite of everything it set out to be.

It isn’t sound monetary policy, it isn’t anonymous, it isn’t fast, it isn’t cheap, and it doesn’t solve anything.

Senate Republicans refused to impeach Trump because he was about to leave office in a few weeks anyway and you could just investigate and charge him with crimes then. After nearly 3 years of Congressional hearings and investigations, the Justice Department charges Trump for his involvement in January 6th and his lawyers argue he had Presidential immunity and by not being convicted during his impeachment trial, he was already acquitted.

With the courts on their side, that was the plan.
