@BeAware So what I want to know is if the second one is a case of having lost interest in the thing or not. Because for me, I often don't lose interest in my interests, and can actually remain quite passionate about them when engaged, it's more that my attention/focus is distracted by newer things, regardless of how much more or less I like them than the older thing(s).

Other times, if it's something that requires work, like a big writing project, I can set aside time to work on it, maybe even pull up the files, and then feel like a car stuck in neutral, revving the engine like mad but getting nowhere physically. I desperately want to do the thing, but that emotion/intention remains locked in some bubble or something.

And does being #Audhd make it different?

@NaClKnight The difference is that anyone can use the adhd tag to talk about it, whether they have it or not. To use the actually tag means that you actually have it, so people can better understand your perspective. There's nothing stopping someone without adhd from using it, but it is considered fraudulent by the rest of the community. Same goes for the #actuallyautistic and #actuallyaudhd as well.
