I'm a woman of the world! I mean in a small world, don't fly in airplanes for anything non-essential kinda way. I have a small globe of the world. I spin it at least once a week. Where my right index finger lands is where I get my next global studying point. I like to learn about places I'll probably never get to travel to & imagine what my adventures would be in those faraway places.
I use my free USA long distance services to call up politicians & private CEO jerkfaces in US, to shout at them for being absolute weak wankers & feel that is a part of international community service. It's therapeutic to do it.
People in #USArmedForces#USMilitary - you should not obey commands that violate US Constitution. You do not owe allegiance to any POTUS. Your job is to protect country & its citizens. Remember that & make the right choices. #Disobey#DoNotComply
I need some #MutualAid help with household bills this month as I'm short $260 on one bill - our hydro(power). Mom's car broke down again tonight & needs the alternator replaced. I've put down $150 on that but we are short $213.72 for rest of repair. I have to pay vet $856 next week to repair Asher's chipped tooth atop of this. I don't know how he got chipped tooth but vet said I need to take care of it or it will cause him more health problems & me, more money. I have $600 set aside for Asher's dental needs at this time.
I'm off work for a week due to illness & losing $950 for that. I'm sorry to ask for financial help again but I don't know what else to do.
"The more I read the more I become aware that the things we studied, our examination system, were wrong – indeed the real reasons for our having lost our country. From that point on I was determined to seize upon our country's literature and on modern learning to awaken our citizenry."
Quyen advocated the modernisation of Vietnam's #education system. Around 1903 or 1904, Quyen met Tang Bat Ho, who had returned from his travels abroad & talked extensively about the modernisation of Japan. In 1904 he met with Phan Bội Châu, but Quyen had little in common with Chau's ideology of using violence to achieve independence. Quyen went on the work with Lương Văn Can & Le Dai in setting up the Dong Kinh Thuc Nghia, which sought to strengthen the Vietnamese people & thereby the likelihood of independence through the training of a new, more modern generation of scholars.
In 1908, Quyen was arrested in a general crackdown by French authorities and sent to jail on Côn Lôn island. He died in the prison which was infamous for torturing political prisoners.

I'm upset my long streak of not having any cold/flu/covid for over 6 years is broken & I'm sick with something. Testing today & again in 24 hrs & again in 48 hrs. I've likely caught something while at work or from one of the medical waiting rooms where people are unmasked. I'm upset majority of folks stopped masking & don't care about disabled people like me. I really hope the tests are all negative results. Have to take time off work to recover from whatever I'm sick with & can't afford to miss too much work; financial insecurity anxieties are stressful. I've canceled all plans for a week & will probably have to cancel my birthday plans too. I'm contacting some colleagues to see if anyone can help me with client support work until I recover from sickness.
I'm super bummed out, feel like shit & am gonna go cry like a baby now. I'm quite upset.
Any country who declares themselves a democracy, must not violate citizens' freedoms of dissent. Otherwise, they are not a democracy but a farce of one.
Beau sent me this video, via text, of him singing, in #Hulquminum language, #honouring this little #wood model #canoe he handcarved. He is singing the 'We Will Pray' song.
@arisummerland I try to make at least one slow time friend date every week. Either by video call, phone chat, offline hangout or something else that suits both parties. Doing this regularly has strengthened my connections with others.
I believe at least 2 friends are going to finally ditch FB after 15 years due to the trans censorship policies. I really hope they don't stay & find out how much worse FB can sink.
You know the most common excuse I hear, from people I know, who won't leave Facebook or Instagram is: All my family & friends are there. If I leave, I lose touch with them.
I have often questioned how mass social media has actually helped to degrade communication & lower our quality of relationships more than enhanced/benefited. People don't communicate much in slow time, offline much anymore. I've seen for myself how being digitally dependent for social connections has harmed families & social circles & our communities as a whole. I have questioned myself & others on how strong your relationships truly are if all communication ceases once you personally choose to leave popular social media platforms.
This is one of a few reasons that I try my best to keep doing offline, slow communication & relationships building work & not be too digitally dependent on any online medium for my human connections.
Street sweeps of the homeless are just another form of taxpayers funded, state sanctioned, social murder. These inhumane actions have never worked to alleviate homelessness crisis, nor lowered crime rates, nor have they improved our community safety as a whole. People die from street sweeps. We have desperate needs for both more social & transitional supportive housing for folks living at & below poverty lines. We have desperate community needs for mental health & addictions recovery/support services to be funded better & access to services be fast-tracked. There's long waiting lists for folks seeking help & that's been an health care issue for decades - under 2 swinging door governments. There's still too much stigma & ignorant judgements towards our most marginalized citizens.
A society that chooses to judge, ignore, dehumanize & ostracize the most marginalized folks within it, is a sick society. It really does take a village of diverse kind citizens to help heal it. You can always make a small ripple of difference to help out in your own local area 🙏
I like checking out government & military infrastructure blueprints & overlapping that with drone cam footage - from military cams & civilian cams. I can tell you security is weak at Naden.
They'll also involve me dressing up more often to obtain access into offices, conferences & other arenas where most activists can't gain easy access to. I'm working on game plans for 2025, on this & other ways we can get access into capitalist/colonial business/sellout government environments. I can usually get in pretty easily but been ousted 3 times out of 27 in past for sneaking in to disrupt.
This is a public alert. I don't put any plans on any socials, ever.
Personal upcoming age 50 yrs old activism goals include pretending to be forgetful on purpose in order to gain more access to several spaces to do more pop-up direct actions that are out of the norms & not put on any public agendas. I may be getting older but I'm still wanting to do activism until unable to physically partake.
