@dogzilla @FlashMobOfOne I suppose my disagreement lies in that the executive branch cannot unilaterally close down the courts in a government shutdown (as I understand it).
Normal judiciary shit definitely becomes more difficult during this period, but my take is that I see a 30-day shutdown preferable to having the Senate "legitimize" items in the CR, which gives the courts a harder time in the long run.
I also think that the government shutdown will impact the ability of the various agencies to effectively litigate cases. Which I'm ok with since they are the defendants in these cases. Private practices possibly gain some leverage in this because they can keep working during that period.
