What do people use to do system monitoring running on openbsd? Nagios/icinga/something else?

I tried doing something with the number of open files after installing/configuring syncthing. But maybe I made some error. I will try to remedy this in single user mode.

Currently the xfce desktop dumps core as soon as I try to click the menu. Not that great haha. Reading up on this, I've learned that the OpenBSD community is more into window managers like cwm, twm and fvwm. Tried them all this morning. This is just not for me ...
So, I did a small walkthrough of the other BSD websites and figured that FreeBSD would be my next logical step, if the Thinkpad hardware seems to be well supported ...
