@prettygood Baest was shutting down, too. Also, it seems p is launching revolver too and in the end the admin decided to migrate baest to that... or was some other instance? I think it was baest, but i could be wrong.
@meso I just didn't express myself properly. I meant the same. If I'm rearching for stuff and find things are out of my budget I just stop there and then.

cinerionHmm, these AI energy consumption articles lack a comparison against other uses. Like residential, or other specific types of industry, like transport, agriculture, food biotechnology, mining, tourism, etc, etc or even within creative industry itself, like movie making, music making, illustrations, live venues and so on.
Telling me it consumes as much as a country says nothing of relevance and seems to be only about fearmongering, it's not like it's used by a single country, after all.
@arcana@icedquinn@anemone@mischievoustomato@lucy@eemmaa@saya@meso I tend to think that arguing about who committed the more atrocities 500 years ago is just splitting hairs. Those things are unrelated to us and, while a good lesson in human behaviour, it's ultimately nothing more than a diversion from the atrocities happening right now. Those should be the one put on the spotlight, not shit that people dead for centuries did at some point, but the current perpetrators are very adept at playing the propaganda game.
@sun@arcana Oh, I used to play that. I remember getting a sketchy hack from somewhere to get unlimited donuts. When it stopped working I lost all interest. Can't believe that was more than a decade ago.
