I installed a digital wellness app on my phone to block news web sites and apps for most of the day.

I reflectivity tried to open them anyway over a dozen times just today. But I think it's helping.

Hey, if I could go like ONE DAY without having to use a painfully germane and prescient George Orwell quote, that would be great.

I'm impressed that I have gotten some new follows from this.

I've been procrastinating horribly ahead of a client meeting. I was going to work all evening on things, then all morning, then for at least two hours, then for a very focused one hour and then... They cancelled.
So I learn nothing! Yay!

I had to learn a lot about parliamentary government when studying for Canadian citizenship so I have all the passion of the recently-converted but I think we're all getting a lesson on which is the superior* approach right now.

*Not perfect, of course. And I'm still holding my breath for the Canadian election.

Just remembering like 17-18 years ago being at #SxSw and hearing about this new thing called Twitter that was supposed to let your servers tell you when they go down but you could, like, also tell people what talks and parties were cool. It might even catch on. It's gonna be so great!

@ben Some of the MAGA talking points I have come across on Reddit:
* Canada gets all the benefits of being a state so should not have the ability to levy tariffs
* Since Canada's economy relies on trade with the US it's not a "real" country
* Canada has had over a 100 years to "prove" it's a real country and not done it so it should default to part of the USA (???!?)
