Saw Love Hurts today and it was a pretty fun movie. I love Ke Huy Quan and want all of the good things to happen to him all the time, and it was nice to see him be the leading role this time. He did most of his own stunts in this movie and his action scenes reminded me A LOT of Jackie Chan in the ‘90s. A good way to spend an hour and a half on a lazy day. 🙂

Hey, guess what? If someone implores you to show kindness and mercy to those in a weaker position than you and your response is to blast them and to ridicule them, then you are not the stronger person that you claim to be. No, that is the response of a weak and cowardly piece of shit.

Remember, kids… punching out Nazis is a legitimate American activity. I mean, does it get any more American than that?

I am still pretty salty about Muppets Mayhem not getting a second season.

Watching Home Alone with Zoey and they mentioned stealing VCRs and Zoey just asked me what a VCR is. 👴🏻👴🏻👴🏻

Over the last two days I have seen many “your body, my choice” posts across various social media outlets. This is not clever. People are genuinely scared and hurting over the loss or potential loss of their own bodily autonomy and to tell them this is ugly, disgusting, and willfully evil.

If you are okay with people throwing this around, whether jokingly or seriously, then just unfriend me now and never speak to me again. If you think this is funny then I want nothing at all to do with you.

@jacklaridian I must have missed something in this movie because it just didn’t click with me… and I really wanted it to.

Still, it’s a win for comic book movies in general and for DC specifically, so I ain’t mad at it.

@jacklaridian When it comes to political commentary, I completely trust Jon Stewart to call out anybody and everybody—he doesn’t play favorites there. Sure, his political beliefs are made clear and I feel they are aligned with my own, but he caters neither to blind devotion nor cult mentalities and for that I respect him.

@jacklaridian I’m so tired of the whole “nobody asked for this” trope. It is such a stupid and lazy argument—they bemoan the lack of originality and then whine when something new comes along and takes a creative chance. If Hollywood only made stuff that audiences asked for, then there are would be so many magnificent and influential movies and shows that would never have come into existence.
