giru (giru@clubcyberia.co)'s status on Friday, 19-Apr-2024 11:01:30 JST giru @allison I love reaper. It's not even that hard. I just really hate how VSTs in their essence are application agnostic but not system agnostic.
It's cool that reaper as has great Linux Support but most of the VSTs don't that's fucking stupid. What even are they? Like what runs them? What are they written in. I still don't really get them. -

giru (giru@clubcyberia.co)'s status on Friday, 19-Apr-2024 07:07:03 JST giru Also, reaper runs decently fast even on my 2015 Thinkpad. And that while it still can do everything. Everyone is talking about reaper having a bad UI or being really hard to use. Yet, I found it easier to learn than FL Studio. It just comes with less batteries but it has amazing scripts and plugins. You can write your own scripts in python and lua. That's pretty cool for a DAW.
It's fully featured and really professional and has only 70mb
