I wanted to change my display name for my fedi (Mastodon) account, like @waifu!
After I few searches I've chosen a name to display (Theoteno - Knight of Theodore), related to a nice story that I found and really enjoyed, called Theodore and the talking mushroom:

@waifu Butt-Knight is an endless runner game on itch-io, that one can be played without hacking Steam to get a license and install the game today! (That might be the case with JuBOX...)

@waifu I got it from a Steam key a long time ago.
When you search for it on Steam it looks like as the game wouldn't exist at all, as it was banned later!

@waifu Would you accept a copy of JuBOX? It's a fun little game I happen to own on Steam...!

@solidsanek @len I played it and also Mobile Suit Baba (didn't finished neither of that 2 games). But these games' developer also made a metroidvania (Environmental Station Alpha), and its sequel is now in development! Planet Keke may be great to play later, too!

@solidsanek I couldn't finish Touhou 10 (Mountain of Faith) this year, I have given up at the final boss: even when I used Reimu with homing shots on the Easy difficulty, it was still kind of hard.
At least I could see the Hungarian translation!
(Worth to mention I had other games I didn't fully complete, but had fun with none the less: so I could stop with a good feeling and not had to finish them at all cost. Pepper Grinder's final boss was like that kind and oh deer, it was such a pain...)

@solidsanek I found 3 more games I enjoyed playing, but were not in my notes. Luckily I posted on Mastodon about them!

Be Somewhere Else and Sylvie RPG: 7 Elf Apocalypse were good, but I would replace the last game of the 25 with Traumatarium! (A Game Boy turn-based RPG played in different dungeons)

@solidsanek I present my 25 (5x5) favorite games I played in 2024.

Honorable mentions:
- Cyber Quest
- Dicey Poker (a dice poker game)
- Orebody: Sand Ripples (a short sokoban puzzle game)
- Ace of Rope (An excellent Wild West game, yet to be finished and released on Steam. There are still no gameplay videos covering most of the game, I played it in 2023's Autumn and enjoyed it so much. But not in 2024, so yeah: may have cheated a bit!)
