In other news, if you haven't been able to catch the latest episode of Dark Side of the Ring, about "Sensational" Sherri, I'd highly recommend it. Such a powerful episode. Themes of intersectional feminism, and very moving, while also being inspiring. She was a true trailblazer sadly exploited by the business.

The sad thing about this is, "Tony Khan Vs The Elite" means the promoter is going so far as to replace CM Punk with himself in the storyline. He's happier to do that than actually utilise the biggest star he ever had. And all to placate EVPs. Discussed this at length, in great detail, on the podcast.

When AEW launched, and Tony Khan told the media he has no interest at all in being a character on his own TV show like a McMahon or Bischoff, I remember telling anyone who'd listen how he'd crack when business was bad, because it's become the promoter's ultimate desperation tactic for shock value that's far easier than merely looking in the mirror and asking themselves how they can improve their wrestling product.
