When AEW launched, and Tony Khan told the media he has no interest at all in being a character on his own TV show like a McMahon or Bischoff, I remember telling anyone who'd listen how he'd crack when business was bad, because it's become the promoter's ultimate desperation tactic for shock value that's far easier than merely looking in the mirror and asking themselves how they can improve their wrestling product.
