    There have been stories sounding the alarm like this for years now, even with the current Pope. God knew what he was doing saddling us with Francis.
    A big problem with these surveys has always been that due to Catholicism’s sacramental nature and rich culture, people who rarely or never go to mass identify as Catholic at much greater rates than lapsed evangelicals keep their label. Those who regularly practice the Faith would more closely resemble evangelicals.
    The worst thing US Catholics was be wets during the Temperance movement, but even the historic support for drinking has been overstated, as Catholics had their own anti-alcohol movement pioneered by Fr. Theobald Mathew. One parish near me even had a Temperance Hall at the time.

    Saw Ghost in the Shell. This 1995 classic is one of those “they don’t make them like this anymore“ anime flicks. The plot and world didn’t interest me as much as Akira, but there are immense helpings of fanservice and cyberpunk violence set to primeval-sounding music, and even a few verses of Scripture.
    The 2004 sequel, Innocence, is screening in many places tomorrow, but my hopes are down. Only rated PG-13, so maybe no nipples, about which see. #GhostInTheShell #animemovies #anime

    It definitely feels even deader than that on the social network a month and a half into basic users unable to post images. But the fall in absolute numbers may be more than the rankings suggest due to the magnitude of higher-up sites.
    I remember when a good day was when my daily Lum posts got ten likes or more. Then, around the time New Gab started, it was five. Now, lucky to get three. Does it make sense to get GabPro when pictured posts have so much less interaction than when everyone could post them? #Gab #NewGab #GabPro
