Not everyone is going to respond the same way to the crease being visible over time. But, let's give Apple credit for having a solution for that obnoxious problem.
The fact that it's a replaceable part does illustrate the fact they've thought it through. I don't know that other foldable manufacturers have and they'll have to get their R&D running to replicate that solution.
