    My wife's workplace had an eclipse party, handed out the glasses, had a three hour catered picnic for everyone.

    At my workplace it was just another Monday lol.

    I've noticed office culture is more about women making up excuses to have three hour lunches and eat birthday cake or something comparable to birthday cake three days a week than the old patriarchal ideas like productivity and elbow grease and contributing to the success of a company.

    I used to think it was something to do with the lighting in those offices zapping people's energy. No, people just are in denial. They hate working so much that they try and make their work feel like home. The results are disastrous all around.

    Everyone should do hard work until it doesn't make them cry anymore at least. It's so sad seeing a grown ass man who is work averse. It's like seeing a 33 year old man who can't tie his shoes.

    @s2208 Try not to get too jaded. Being "realistic" about 2024 USA women may bite you a little you when you find that strange outlier who is also trying not to be jaded about men. Yeah, I know it's a tall order lol

    @graf I would. I remember they did some kind of innocent analysis of where reddit users were located and 75% of them were on the same air force base in cornfield USA iirc
