I find it quite hilarious that folks from #MastodonForHarris are "oh so concerned with donating money to scammers" so they don't participate in #mutualaid posts, effectively sending a "fuck you" message to marginalised & down-on-their-luck people and choosing to support the millionaire avatars of the status quo instead.

Don't wanna spoil the fun, guys, but US politics is probably the biggest scam in human history. And you're voluntarily fueling it with your hard-earned money and depriving people of your support just so you can perpetuate the laughable gambling addiction you obviously have while also acting obnoxious about it, from your high horses.

It's laughable, truly laughable.

I don't want to shame you - well, most of you, anyway. But the #OccupyMastodonForHarris thing has a merit in pointing out the blatant classicism the true hashtag actually is.

If you have money to spare and want to actually help people out, you're free to donate it to the political party you believe in - despite the fact it doesn't really change anything and only perpetuates the shitty gambling that is a dual-party system in the US. It's not a democracy, it never was a democracy and if you're telling people asking for funds to live they don't care in democracy, you're just wrong and come off as an asshole.

Because when you write stuff like that:

What's truly fucking pathetic about the political system in the US is that people are endorsing and shaming others into voting for Biden in order not to get Trump. And I get it, out of these two shits Trump is much worse.

BUT it doesn't need regular folk are gotta be doing marketing for Biden instead of his PR team. The fact Trump is worse doesn't make whatever the fuck Biden is doing okay. And people telling others to vote for him no matter what are basically low-key saying "I don't care he's a genocidal maniac". If they're openly declaring their intent to vote for him in the next election, they're basically taking the only power they have - to shape the political plans for the future. To coerce the democratic party into meeting their voters demands if they intend to win.

Yesterday I had a vet visit with my rat. After her eye removal it turns out the paralysis caused by the ear inflammation resulted in her teeth moving and blocking each other, basically making them useless. The only doctor who had time to see my rat was supposed to be the expert in rat teeth. Long story short, there's a lawsuit case in the waiting for the amount of incompetence that man presented. Basically, he decided to take the rat out back and clip the teeth with the clipper instead of gradually scratching it, as he should.

And now my rat is going to have it's front teeth removed, because the impact caused by the clipper basically damaged the gums so much, they're useless and don't hold teeth in place. I have spent 670 PLN these three days and I'm going to have another visit tomorrow morning, probably extracting teeth. It's gonna cost a lot. And I just can't fucking afford all that.

Hey. Yes, it's yet another #MutualAidRequest post. I don't need that much this time, however.

So the story is my rat's teeth are scuffed, probably because of the paralysis she had because of the ear-and-eye inflammation. I'll need to pay another visit to the most expensive veterinary clinic in my city to see it treated and it'll cost more than I can afford. It's 23rd and my payday is on 7th next month. I've got like 250PLN left (because the surgery of my finger and the rat basically sucked me dry) and that's why I'm asking for support.

There was some development at work recently, I'll be transferred and I'll be able to make more money starting next month. I'd just lend the money from the bank, but my credit score isn't enough to cover anything. And my landlord needs an additional payment next month for year's worth of maintenance, which took me by surprise.

I'm really fucking afraid I'll wake up tomorrow and she'll be dead.

I'm genuinely surprised. I'll have to schedule a veterinarian visit for tomorrow, because something strange happened.

So basically it seemed like things were getting better for Skye, the medicine clearly worked well and she started acting normally. The swollen eye she had was still suspicious and so I kept on changing the hammocks often in order to avoid infections of any kind.

I was giving her medicine right now and noticed, that the swollen eye - the one getting better - had died.

Yeah. It's dead. And she'll probably have to undergo a surgery to remove it. As fast as possible.

And you know, I'm more surprised than anything else. It just came out of the blue. Of course I'm scared but... Yeah. It's just so unexpected. I'm not sure how to even react, it wasn't like this in the morning and I know that for a fact, because she gets a lot of care lately and I used to watch her eyes closely.

The strangest thing of all is she actually acts completely normal, as if nothing happened. As if her eye wasn't infecting the entirety of her head and body. Rats are really, really resilient it would seem.

There's something terribly bad with her jaw though, as if she wasn't able to grab food with it. Might be painful.

I gave her all the painkillers I had for her and some apple.

Hey folks, I got my payday today. Paid my rent, put some money for other necessary bills that will eventually come later.

I will, hovewer, need some money for a surgery. So basically, long story short, a few months back I had a glass bottle full of liquid fall from the fridge and smash my toe. The nail slowly and painfully fell off and left a wound and then started to regrow. And it started to painfully rupture into my skin. I had some feet specialist therapy trying to save that, but it had failed. I now need to surgically remove it and undergo the same therapy. And it will cost. Right now I can walk, but it's really painful and the finger basically feels like... it's got a literal nail just piercing right through my finger. It aches a lot, not to mention the bleeding and swelling with pus. It's gross and painful is all I'm saying. There's also the rat thing going on, she's getting better but will still require some veterinary case including one more Roentgen scan and medications. And I'm not sure I can afford both of these this time. The rent is sucking me dry and I'm looking for a new flat after my contract terminates.
