Collin has published how the Guix North America build farm is put together as a single script running on powerful AMD Genoa!

Having a server in the USA increases the speed and reduces the latency for North American downloaders of Guix and all 20,000+ built free software packages. It also provides redundancy in case something happens with other substitute servers.

Guix days at FOSDEM has outgrown the venue we had for the last 8 years! It is exciting! The first time was in 2018 https://libreplanet.org/wiki/Group:Guix/FOSDEM2018 and we had a first Guix/Guile devroom in 2015! That makes 10 years of Guix fun.

@civodul Developer convenience is what I hear most. Quickly breaks down when you want to combine things outside the language ecosystem.

@civodul @dthompson It is subtle. I only noticed it now I read this! Awesome example btw. Another great example would be a terminal capturing logging in the browser. I bet it will be elegant in hoot.
