Frankly she and the fact that I've met my health insurance deductible and out-of-pocket for the year are the only reason I'm still there. I should be looking for a retirement job.

Everyone is convinced that the inept team brought in by the hedge fund to run the company has two jobs: launch the birds, and sell the half of the company on billable contracts. The birds are in the sky, so the sale must be imminent: that must be why they've moved the payout of the last installment of retention bonuses up by almost a month.

Doing some math in my head now...I wonder if I should start a consulting business and offer people to pick my brain for all the crazy niche-y things I've worked on in the last 35+ years...not sure if I'd even make enough to cover gas for all birding trips I'll be able to make...

Managed to drive myself to work today & got to talk to my boss in person, which was good because I got him to confirm my suspicion that he put me on this project to make sure the other person on the project stayed focused on the task and not got sidetracked by the desire to write moar code.

Alas our team is down to my boss, me (a high-functioning sociopath), and three guys with varying degrees (and manifestations) of ADHD.

@powersoffour they kept on serving up fake phishing emails to us to see what we would do. Two of our best software guys kept on falling for them.

@powersoffour I guess one can make a twisted argument that more tabs => less tidy => more likely to be less secure

@powersoffour I don't get it. If Russia invades a NATO country we will be going to war with Russia. I can't imagine Putin would want that.

So I see our Russian Asset promised to help his handler invade NATO countries should he be elected President. And people think Joe Biden is the mentally feeble one??

Well, my doctor saw the MRI report. Alas, nothing is black and white. I jokingly suggested that I should get it done while I still have insurance. He didn't disagree. He did refer me to a surgeon for a second opinion.

@powersoffour there are days when I am sick in the stomach worrying about where this country is headed, but this is the only country I've got, so I will stick around to do what I can to right the course (hopefully voting is enough...)
