   @kpdooty there was a college student on the bus last night loudly talking on the phone about going into consulting and aiming to get a $10,000/month retainer with multiple $50-200M companies. He said he only wanted to do that for a few months. Sadly, I put on headphones before I could hear his secrets.

     Doing some math in my head now...I wonder if I should start a consulting business and offer people to pick my brain for all the crazy niche-y things I've worked on in the last 35+ years...not sure if I'd even make enough to cover gas for all birding trips I'll be able to make...

     Everyone is convinced that the inept team brought in by the hedge fund to run the company has two jobs: launch the birds, and sell the half of the company on billable contracts. The birds are in the sky, so the sale must be imminent: that must be why they've moved the payout of the last installment of retention bonuses up by almost a month.

     Frankly she and the fact that I've met my health insurance deductible and out-of-pocket for the year are the only reason I'm still there. I should be looking for a retirement job.
