Well, this is the attitude of a new user. I'm relatively new to Hubzilla and streams. I work my way through it and I encourage others to do the same. It's good that people are able to provide assistance when the can but it's clear that trial and error will yield results every time.

Yes, indeed, killing babies is a right obviously, enshrined in our burnt Constitution. However, me packing a piece, magazines and a few boxes of ammo, is a crime. I get it now. This is quantum clown universe.

I think that, the more one uses Hubzilla, the more one realises, more efficient ways to use it. Just like doing anything that one enjoys doing, one must do it often enough, until it becomes second nature. So, unless one is about to die soon, suddenly, there is an inordinate amount of time to learn, how Hubzilla works just by using it often, many times per day. Prove me wrong.

In the United States, the most perfect murders can be committed by running over a cyclist, act as if it were an accident and act accordingly. Nothing will come of it. I suspect that in the Netherlands, that wouldn't play well, which is why they have such a robust bicycle culture. I haven't lived in Germany, so I have no reference. Cyclists need more protection on all fronts and it goes way beyond silly gestures such as this one. If the lawmakers proposing this act were serious, why not allocate more space for bicycle parking instead? This particular example of an idea, is no solution at all. It will only cause deeper rifts, on a path, where there aught to be none.

I'm curious as to why, they, at the WHO, would assume, that the word monkey, elicits racist stigmas. Perhaps, the problem lies elsewhere and not in the word at all. I think I know what they mean, while they're actually silent about it and I think that it is their own racist overtones, which they're subconsciously hoping to erase from reality with this idiotic action. One presumes, that the WHO is populated by at least a few scientists, and if so, aren't they, the scientists, the same purveyors, of the idea, that man himself, is a relative of monkeys and the other apes? If so, and indeed, we're all just one, not so diverse, family, then what's the fuss, if onlookers see the family resemblance? It's utter rubbish and if anyone associated monkeys and the use of the word, with the alleged, aggrieved races, that person or persons, were probably all, in the employ of the WHO. Therefore, one could infer, that the WHO, associates certain humans with monkeys, implicitly. The name change was a total deflection of that realisation and what they should have been doing in practice, was to try and kick the habit.

@verita84@poster.place Oh, that's how they do it. You're talking about using a chroot environment to do the encryption, right? I have a script that does it for my Pine Phone but I've yet to adapt it for anything else. However, lately I have been giving full disk encryption a lot of thought. I'm going to keep on reading up on it. Your script is very insightful too. I've gotten a few more clues reading it. So I'll be doing some rough experimental runs to see if I know what I'm doing and keep on at it until I refine the process. I hope you get your project running like you want it to. When it's finished, I don't see why it can't be adapted for other installs.

Thanks. I'll get in touch with you soon and discuss how I could do that practically with any distribution, especially if that option isn't currently available.

@furgar@noagendasocial.com I'm curious to know what Peterson defines, as antisemitic vitriol.

It's also worth noting that, whereas, in the US, for instance, it's routine to kill cyclists and face no penalties, unless the driver can be proven to be drunk and or, if the driver flees the scene, I think that, in the Netherlands, there may be severe penalties to be paid, for recklessly or otherwise, killing a cyclists.

@verita84@poster.place you're a very confused man aren't you? First you love Linux & FOSS then you hate them and can't stop praising propriety wares and now I see you wandering back. Anyway, I've always loved playing with Sid myself and since I don't like using GUI's it has never mattered which DE or WM I use. All I can say is welcome back and I'd love to hear your thoughts on total disk encryption for Linux and practical ways of doing so.
