The inconsistent size is really throwing me off. The big one was about twice the size of the others.

The others are very slightly different in size, but only if you looked REALLY closely. But the 4th was massive.

I only have 1 whole one left. Anyone have any ideas for another test(s) I can do on it? It needs to be good. Ideally nondestructive.

Maybe see if it dissolves in an organic solvent.

Found another big one. This was in a small pool of rainwater and is much lighter in colour - suggesting that @annika might be right and the larger ones have absorbed water?!

It is squishy.

I thought it might have liquid in the middle, so I applied quite mild pressure to try and pop it and it exploded into these granules.

It doesn't seem to have any discernible scent.

And I just found a 4th one that was really big - maybe 8mm across, but I dropped it and it exploded before I could get a pic. Wtaf are these things?!
