If you like Kaiju and Godzilla I need to bring your attention to a fanfilm made by some buddies of mine called Everyday Kaiju: https://vimeo.com/531907576?fl=pl&fe=sh
Rachel Gilmore over on bsky is trying to compile a preliminary list of Canadian companies known to work with ICE. Hootsuite, Gardaworld, Roshel are three main ones so far. If you can think of anything and want to chime in but don't have a bsky account, let me know and I'll pass it along.
@hellomiakoda Also ! Some homeless people are allergic to food and might not realize the food they've accepted has that ingredient until the food is literally in their hands. They're just trying to stay safe!
Feeling this particularly hard from Montréal: "The greatest trick America’s ever pulled on the subjects of its various vassal states is making us feel like a participant in its grand experiment."
and: "The rest of the world should not have to know the name Bari Weiss."
There is an infantilization of Greta in some online discussions that really bothers me, and though I am finding I have a weird time trying to explain why I am so bothered, I think it boils to: Neuro-divergent people are not inherently more naive, more innocent, more righteous, or more childlike.

Wondering how many mourners would willingly, and without prompting, wear a mask around people suffering from Long Covid, respiratory illnesses, or other immune dysfunction, out of respect for their struggle, instead of placing the entire burden on vulnerable disabled people.
I just saw someone post a "Luigi would be disappointed in you" comment under a particularly awful post in a Facebook group and ... honestly. How does one come back from that!?!?! I don't think it's possible. Amazing.
One of those reports that keeps me up at night. I think the Irish are being more honest about this stuff than most jurisdictions. If you've ever looked into ME/CFS, you know that Long Covid is terrifying. ME/CFS creates worse QoL outcomes than terminal cancer.
> Around one in six people in Ireland have experienced long-Covid symptoms, according to a new HSE survey. > The Follow-up After Disease Acquisition (FADA) survey also found that repeat infections lead to higher risk of the condition.
