Still not completely sure what Bluesky offers that Mastadon doesn’t, outside of an exportable profile (which is really quite nice).

@kraft I’ve always liked the quasi-decentralization of Mastadon and the federation. Still, certain problems exist in terms of infrastructure that don’t make it ironclad/resistant from deplatforming techniques we’ve seen in the past. It doesn’t solve all problems, just mitigates some of them.

Personally looking forward to BlueSky as a potential solve, since Jack Dorsey envisioned it as the anti-Twitter, with no deplatforming capabilities. We shall see.

I hadn't touched a Windows machine for an entire year until recently, and good gravy... still horrible.

@iDeacon Part of the issue is that these things tend to operate in the extremes. There's nothing wrong with the priest speaking to the person's love for family, their dedication to the parish, to the core of who they are -- as long as this isn't the most substantial content. I use it as a bridge to get to the meat of my homily, which has to do with death, our need to pray, and the nature of the Mass. I've heard too many homilies that never make this jump, though. And that's a problem.

Grateful for the life and pontificate of Pope Benedict. His legacy will be a long one for his thoughtfulness and dedication to the Tradition he was charged with protecting.

@royterdw @sakana you can do this now, and you get a lot of garbage as it gets creative in regard to something it’s not formed in. As for the text itself: no need to get creative.

Hoping I find a native desktop app (macOS) that handles lists. Any ideas?
