    s/one/many/ but yes. Specific.

(The two things it adds are FFT support, because in live coding, having that input(instead of time or random) allows something sort of akin to "music synch." And since there's a DJ playing, and not a music track, well... it's very popular.
However it hasn't been merged, as far as I can tell, into fennel, and thus I haven't used it.

And this is why I think it should be re-implemented, as an external input, like, in a byte or something somewhere, so you can get to it from ALL languages via a peek() or something, rather than having it done via a new command, which is how I _think_ it has been implemented for other languages, but I don't really know. I'll have to ask someone else who's worked with that code, which I have to do anyway because of the 2nd thing:

'lovebyte' mode, where it has a countdown timer and counts the number of tokens and you're needing to fit between an upper and lower limit, along with send that info to the server.)

I've paid for it and I compiled it in.

It just isn't supported in the bytejam setup, because... it basically sends changes to a file that is on disk, which is updated by tic80, and then sent over after that is updated.
(If I understand what it does from how it works, without looking at the code, because don't have the server side code. And I only looked at the client side code long enough to say "nope not changing this now")

I prefer the external editor and will continue to complain about this until I fix the client and server or someone else does (read: I fix it)

I was HOPING this would be on the list (: I mean, I know there are lots of other books that fit this - far more than 28 - but I was hoping this one would because folks may look at the title and think "oh, that looks... not like something that a person would enjoy reading, I'll put it on the list of things I _should_ read, but right now I've got a bunch of stressful things and..."

It's _so_ not that. He's a fine storyteller as well as a person who has something to teach.

I picked it up recently (at the Helsinki library; which has ... 8 copies? Including the Swedish and Finnish translations.) I found it to be a LOT more accessable than the title suggests - Ibram writes as a person who's telling you something important, but NOT lecturing. It's both his story, and an invitation to do better.

Two things stand out to me, a person with a microvision (1970's tech) who was there in the 80's...

That is a very odd phone jack. Looks more like an ethernet jack, which would be late, late 90's. To be honest, in the 80's, it probably would be token ring or arcnet... tho I only dealt with arcnet. Either might be fun to put on the model...

The tube is too short.it should stick visibly out the back.

If you want flat, LCD was popular and absolutely existed in 1980, so you could go with a 16 x 16, or 24 x 24, matrix of lcd black (only) pixels.

    Or... as it is nintendo...

Game and watch lcd carts. Replace the screen with game and watch lcd's.

Neat idea, hope this gives you some ideas to develop it further.
