I took my time decorating decorating this one and I think it looks ok. One of the boys asked what we were celebrating and I said, "Nothing. I just wanted cake." I'll post another photo once we cut it. I thought the cake was going to be dry because the dome cracked but I had a few bites (from leveling it before frosting) and it should be fine. I kept good notes. I'll try to find the motivation to put it in my baking notebook. I don't know that I'll make this recipe again. #food #baking #gf

@sand I was sad when my kids stopped watching Yo Gabba Gabba & Phineas and Ferb.

Also I'm a little cranky after Husband turned off the oven when he was supposed to reset the timer on my apple crumble. Now I'm having to check it every few minutes because I have no idea when it will be done.

I remember now why I don't listen to #romance without a happily ever after ending. Just finished The Idea of You & I'm gutted. #audiobooks

Also, it's still 71°F (hot, in Celsius) and we have the windows open at 7:20PM. Balmy by southern New England late October standards. But delightful. Yay, warmth.

I'm grateful for my neighbors who, after I texted to apologize that my kid & his best friend didn't have costumes because it was too warm for what they planned, said that they'd be more than happy to give them candy regardless of age or costume. #Halloween #TrickOrTreat

The romance #audiobook I'm listening to has a lot more witching than kissing and I'd like it to be the other way around now. #FirstWorldProblems

There's a fair a couple towns over this weekend. Yesterday Younger Kidlet met friends there. I dropped him off, Husband picked him up. When they got home Husband was agitated & I could tell he needed to talk. He said, "I don't want to scare you but there were multiple armed state police, guns in hand, searching the pick up area, literally going car to car looking at drivers, looking in the back seat. It was like a movie." Weirdly, it made me feel better about going back as a family tonight.

Am I allowed to change my username without losing followers & those I follow? I don't want to lose everyone and don't want to keep the Heidiknits name. I also don't know what a good new username would be (suggestions?) and Heidi is already taken.

I'm not savvy with technology so this may be a disaster.
