Oh god, something’s gone terribly wrong in my life. I just got served an ad for a human sized dog bed.

@inthehands the one that really freaks me out: in a lot of those cars, opening the back door if the power is out is basically impossible. What if your kid is in the back of the car? How are you getting them out?

@skinnylatte a bit horrifying to realize how much of what I now consider “fun” is just whatever I can do that allows me not to be my kids main source of entertainment for 10 minutes.

Maybe it’s also my Italian heritage that just cannot accept this reversal of noodle times.

@skinnylatte haha well so much of American food is just objectively too big and too sweet. But I can’t say no to a great pain au raisins or almond croissant.

How do savory western breakfasts go over? Bacon and eggs, hash browns and the like?

It’s too much food for me in the morning, but I feel like noodles would be too.

@skinnylatte it’s funny that there aren’t breakfast foods, but there are definite not-breakfast foods (sweets).

I have to admit I love a day that starts with a great pastry. Especially since admittedly most of my days just start with coffee.

@skinnylatte there’s a particular pain to it too having grown up here before the tech boom when we DID have good food. Ugh.
