Once you’re into a habit of practising gratitude, you start feeling sorry for people who don’t….
Some people are feasting at a banquet, but they might as well be starving.

Kalamazoo, Michigan area is getting hit hard by tornadoes this evening.
When I first moved to eastern Ontario 25 years ago from the east coast, a relative pointed out some tall, puffy clouds on the horizon to me. "Those mean a heavy thunder storm later. And if the sky ever gets green, that means a tornado's possible."
Silly relative, I thought. Why would Ottawa ever get a tornado?
25 years later, I don't laugh so much anymore. Climate change brings these suckers further north now.
@bmacDonald94 I think I may like this even better than the original.
Got to the hospital for my scan, on a rainy early Sunday morning. Went to the cancer wing entrance and... it wasn't open. Locked doors.
So I had to take a long walk to get to the main entrance (with a short detour going the wrong way, while being a bit lost).
Ran past a gauntlet of Canada geese waddling around the grounds with their goslings. Didn't want to face an attack... that would be quite a way to get taken down, by geese.
@sand Well, the point I guess, is to tackle one problem at a time. Reusable cups were making inroads before the pandemic, then hygiene issues made it complicated. Some places use cups made out of paper (like large versions of Dixie cups). Rome wasn't built in a day.
Canadian lady writing about life, the end of life, possibly the afterlife... lots of life thoughts.
