What’s the point of disintegrating paper straws if the cups are made from non-recyclable plastics???

Reusable cups were making inroads before the pandemic, then hygiene issues made it complicated. Some places use cups made out of paper (like large versions of Dixie cups). Rome wasn't built in a day.

I just find it frustrating that they can’t find solution that works for recycling cups. The plastic liner in hot beverage cups prevent them from being recycled. A&W launched a Cup Program that might actually be successful. Too soon maybe?
