#CatsOfMastodon Pippin Cat tries to look striking even in the middle of a bath.

I know the doctors like to use fancy terms like “infection”, “bacteria”, and “gunk” … but I’m on to their game.

It’s pretty obvious to me when my evil doppelgänger from the mirror dimension is trying to take control of my body.

Those know-it-alls in the so called medical profession won’t trick me otherwise.

Occasionally I give Pippin cat responsibility to run the house.

It’s great!

Sure it’s true that absolutely nothing gets done… but I get a big old break, and can rest easy knowing that none of this mess is my fault.

Then at 5:00 PM in the afternoon, lay on the couch in agony and regret every choice ever made in life that has led to this moment.

Update:

I'm looking at a cat who has 96 minutes till afternoon feed time.

They keep staring into my eyes and opening their mouth at me...

... but all I can hear is 'All Star' by Smash Mouth.

Apparently my noise cancelling headphones also block out cat meows.

I'm not sure what I should do with this great and terrifyingly powerful new ability of mine....

@Dangerous_beans Obviously there’s a few issues to be worked through, but I’m retaining a positive outlook on this plan.

While objectively ‘a bit cool’, I’m all for 15 degrees and a bit of wind in #Canberra this evening after the recent hot days.

Pippin Cat was yowling quite vocally about some existential problem.

I have given him a hug, and that has addressed 90% of his concerns.

Scrooge McDuck has given me unrealistic expectations of the moral standards of the billionaire class.

Middle child has constructed a wind-powered turbine out of LEGO. He’s trying to get it to work by dousing it in cooking oil for lubrication, and using the vacuum cleaner to test it.

The turnaround on the test-adjust-test cycle is about 5 minutes.

(Did I mention I’m currently trying to work from home?)
