apparently both my laptop AND my PCs USB-C ports are worn out to the point where they randomly disconnect when i bump the table.

fucking hell, is this seriously where we've ended up after figuring out how to make the ports indestructible with micro-USB?

i may have discovered the stupidest way to turn on the tv in the living room remotely.

apparently our chromecast can somehow "nudge" it awake even when our avr cant, so i made a workflow in node-red that handles the turning on/off and changing modes of our AVR depending on which device is turned on or off, its huge, it looks terrible, but it works perfectly.

forgor creating a volume for one of my docker containers and just realised i lost all my data on there 😭

when im feeling down i go on random websites and paste the eicar test file into the contact form

@aks@scalie.zone the fact that fedora specific flatpaks even exist is still beyond me.

on my way home saw a car completely in a ditch, back wheels in the air, oops.

i still dont know what i should do CPU wise, going AM5 and DDR5 is tempting but really expensive, AM4 doesnt have many energy efficient options.

i pretty much got storage figured out though, i'll just go 2x16TB in Raid1, doubles my current capacity and is much safer.

fearing the day i build a new nas and i have to migrate terrabytes of data to the new system..

will probably just build an entirely new server and run them both at once while i migrate.
