The crackling of the record, the sound of the old recording, that classic voice, although in a different language, but perhaps precisely because of that. It awakens a longing for days long past. Strolling arm in arm with your loved one through old narrow alleys in style. And if the world were like in old black-and-white films, it would still have bright colors like a summer flower meadow in the moors.
Many thanks, I was able to find a short clip. I will try to obtain a DVD. The scene in front of the clock: “We only have three minutes to live.” ... “Three minutes is great.” 🌻
And another flower blooms in the garden of fantasy: Do not waste time with negative thoughts, because your beloved wants to be kissed, everything else is unimportant. Drown in those enchanting eyes to be reborn within a kiss. Carpe Diem.
P.S.: Next time, I'll be happy to serve a lovely café. My wife is Portuguese, so I can serve a classic roast that's particularly good like a tango for the gusto, so to speak. 😀
So from now on, we share the passion for this delightful song, and in my mind I raise a cool glass of lemon and peppermint tea, dear friend with a heart for tango. 💖
Please have a wonderful day, and thank you very much for your kind wishes. ☀️ 🌻
I react intensely to images, music, movies, ... I usually have to write about it. Yesterday I saw the movie Cyrano de Bergerac with Gérard Depardieu and Anne Brochet. It's a pleasure to write, whether it's a poem about the mood or something else. “Por Una Cabeza” has once again lit a small candle in the storm of this night and makes the stars sparkle intensely, bringing the world closer to find oneself sitting on an old wooden bench and seeing the beauty. Thank you very much. ☘️
In the background, you hear the soft, calm melody of “Por una cabeza.” A man stands on the charming beech wood parquet. His dance partner approaches him with short, elegant steps and circles him halfway. He gently places a hand on her back, and she places her hand on his shoulder. Now their other hands join. With smooth steps, the dance begins to the music. Soft, tender, and supple, they dance to the music, merging with the melody as if it were a gentle kiss on a mild May night.
It's really beautiful. I have something similar in mind, but I can't think of it right now. I'll have to think about it in peace and quiet. I could imagine that “Por una cabeza” would also sound good on a mandolin.
*laughing* I misinterpreted the first few notes and thought it was "The Harry Lime Theme", performed by Anton Karas, from the movie "The Third Man", starring Orson Welles and Joseph Cotten. It sounded like it for a split second, but then I remembered "Scent of a Woman", starring Al Pacino, Chris O'Donnell, and the enchanting Gabrielle Anwar; the music for that tango, "Por una cabeza" by Carlos Gardel.
Trump posts on Truth for the brainless red-cap disciples, James Quincey (the guy who wants to be CEO) jumps and kisses Trump's butt, and launches a new Coke variant (Quincey's laughing stock edition) with cane sugar; but corn syrup will still be used. Trump does nothing for free. If Coca-Cola needs cane sugar, it has to be delivered. Prices for cane sugar and corn syrup will change rapidly on the stock market. Who earns and who loses?
