@lstaples As far as I know, they've done away with that system and we no longer need vouchers. Now you can get a booster whenever you want one, but you have to pay for it yourself. At least that's how it was for me here in Aichi.

It's September 24th and the temperature here in Nagoya is finally under 90F.

But only for two days. 🙃 And then it's back to that bullshit.

I laid on the floor with her petting her and hearing her purr. What a relief! I'm so happy she's happy here.

It's been a long few months since we caught the world's most skittish cat, but Hime just purred for the first time! I almost started crying.
She's been on an anxiety medication for about a month now, slowly making progress every day. First, letting us be in the same room with her. Then, actually seeming relaxed with us. Only like last week she let us touch her, although she didn't seem to like it. But today, she went up to Tomo for pets and started purring!

A cute little orange fluffball they've named Burt. 🥰 He's only two weeks old and soo small.

Before we left my parents' house in America, their/our cat, Eddy, was suddenly really sick. Unfortunately, he ended up having liver and kidney failure and my parents had to put him down a few days after we got back to Japan. I feel so lucky that I got to spend that 5 weeks with him, and he slept in our bed every night and cuddled. ❤️

He can't be replaced, but I'm so happy to say the cat distribution system works. My cousin's nanny found a bunch of kittens outside and my parents have taken one.

We went to the vet with Mugi (she's fine, just had us worried) and also asked about anxiety meds for Hime. Since she wasn't with us and it was Tomo's mom who originally brought her to the vet over a month ago, Tomo started describing Hime to the vet, who immediately shared a look with the other vet tech and then showed us his hand. It was covered in purple nasty looking scars. 💀

Anyways, the vet agreed Hime needs meds so that was easy. 😂

@lana @pippa Yeah, I've heard you sometimes have to try different meds and dosage to see which one works best, just like humans I guess. If only they could tell us how they feel! That would make this all a lot easier.

@lana @pippa Oh, that's good to hear you can get anxiety meds here. I guess it's a bit different because we probably need long term ones for general anxiety, but thanks for sharing! My parents have to give their dog meds for thunder and fireworks too.
