My kid gets a piece of mail today from a training company in Austin that was one of my clients back during .com boom that I helped mentor and grow. I found them some outstanding talent. I did this when my kid was a baby.

20 years later, they are working with the company my grown kid is now working for.

Ok. Well, on a whim, I decided to put my favorite cleaner, LA'S totally awesome in the upholstery cleaner machine for the cat pee after it has been scrubbed at least 3 times with Nature's miracle.

SMELL IS 100% GONE. Holy shit.

Never using the nature miracle crap again. That stuff used to work like crazy. NOT ANYMORE.

Not feeling well at all today. Sore throat. Fatigue. Sigh.

Ok. Scrubbed 2 walls in the kitchen. Finished scrubbing the linoleum. That was a mess. The boy got the smaller upper cabinets down and we tidied up in there for purposes of removing the rest of the cabinets. I also vacuumed the ceiling. Oh, and I also cobbled together a frankenvac with an attachment for the rainbow and the shop vac so I could get the cobwebs out of the radiator. :)

If you are tempted to buy one of these vinyl tubs and surround from Kohler at home depot, don't. They are GARBAGE. Now I have a crack in the tub itself.

Edit: Lowe's. It still holds though. These are horrible.

Here's the process. Put cleaner down full strength and scrub with the orbiter about 4 times back and forth. Spray down the suds with water from a garden sprayer, then suck up the muck into the shop vac.

Last photo is the next big tackle. Pretty sure they were doing motorcycle repairs in here.

Here's where we have gotten so far today. Greenboard is up, the floor joist is being worked on right now. The expanding foam is about done doing its thing. Once the work in the basement is done, The tub goes in, then I start putting down hardieboard on the floor to accept the tile. I am using mastic and poly blend grout to set the tile. Thinset would just crack and be a big ol mess.
