It really is. I found it at Goodwill for $20. As soon as I opened the lid and popped it up, a couple of older ladies started circling. Lol

I posted my son as guard, grabbed the tag, and went to go pay for it.

This old gal is a Singer model 66 made in Elizabethtown, NJ in 1924 per ismacs. 102 years old and still moves. She's dirty, but most of her decals are still intact. I am going to have to be super careful when cleaning her so I can preserve these. No alcohol as that will also dissolve the japanning. Ok then. Motor and light are now removed so let's get into the guts. :)

Ok. Here's a little video of the Kenmore 1357 paint job. I haven't decided what to do with the nose, if anything. I'd say I didn't want it to be too busy, but that ship has sailed. Haha.

Tired and grumpy and didn't get my vacuuming done but it is clean sheet day, so there's that.

Making progress on the Kenmore 1301 in enamel paint. Getting more a hang of this paint now. Finally. Also, nothing was thrown across the room. Haha.

Starting to pull the Kenmore 1301 apart. Gawdalmighty she's dirty and there is so much friggin grease in her innards she probably has gallstones. I can only assume that since I live in a historically robust manufacturing sector of the country, most of the mechanics worked in heavy industry and just put grease EVERYWHERE.

I get the impulse, but these machines aren't parts stampers or whatever. They're precision machines. ANYWAY, I have to clean all this crap out because it polymerizes over time and with heat and makes a sticky mess all over everything. Sigh. Lol. I have come to expect it now.

So now that musk fucker is throwing his trash on another celestial body because nobody has the stones to stop his stupid shit. I wish he would get on a fucking rocket to mars and disappear.

I have more touch up to do, paint the handwheel and motor vent cover, clear coat the whole thing, but here's a short video showing the completed paint job on the Montgomery Wards 70's vintage sewing machine.

Mechanically, I need to finish the wiring on the light at the nose, clean and rewire the cabinet it goes into, tune it up and run it in. It's already been thoroughly cleaned, greased, oiled, and the motor is cleaned, new brushes, rewired, greased, and the armature polished.
