@GossiTheDog They have to keep developing and not releasing. If they ever actually release the thing, it'll be a disappointment and the bubble will burst. Whilst it's still in development, everyone can cling on to the dream that it will be amazing when it's done.

@Polychrome We used to have a Panasonic D1 deck at our work but that was probably 10 years ago.

Alas even if we still have it, I wouldn't want to put your master tapes into a deck which hadn't been used or serviced in a decade.
