   @GossiTheDog A former boss of mine was a huge Star Citizen rube. He dumped a lot of cash to buy all the new shiny NFTs er limited edition space toys. He ran his IT department the same way: dump cash into stuff without producing a measurable result.

     I like that take, good point if they finally release then the gravy train stops and they have to actually be a real studio and develop either a sequel or something else which frankly isn't going to happen.

     @GossiTheDog They have to keep developing and not releasing. If they ever actually release the thing, it'll be a disappointment and the bubble will burst. Whilst it's still in development, everyone can cling on to the dream that it will be amazing when it's done.
