So I recently had to move back to the midlands from uni due to illness. I started my medical transition in The South ™️.

I got diagnosed by a #NHS GMC registered private psychiatrist for “Gender Incongruence”, prescribed HRT via a GMC registered endocrinologist.

In my old uni surgery? I’ve been under the care of 3 doctors. Never got gatekept, a shared care arrangement was no problem…Since moving to my old childhood surgery at home? Immediate gate keeping and scare mongering… #trans 🧵 1 / 8

How many more of us need to be traumatised? How many more of us need to die? How many more of us must endure the torture of having the hammer hovering above us that could revoke our life saving medications at any second before we’re finally listened to? 8/8

Is it just me... Or is the unrelenting barrage of constant advertising on YouTube and other websites becoming insanely overwhelming?

Like I can feel my body recoiling at it all every time. Its like another avenue of information overload

so just booted up my installation of Ubuntu (usually use windows on my desktop because I use VR)...

I wanted to try WiVRn to see if I could have a reliable wireless #VR experience on #Linux

Anyway, the first thing that happens when I open my Steam install is this pop up telling me I don't have 32 bit drivers installed and to run a bunch of terminal commands.

No problem, I'm a developer of 13+ years. But like... For the average user? This is jank.

@cube_drone I heard about this!!! Its so fucking tragic that the core of a good idea was ruined by cryptobro bullshit. Ugh!!!

You know, I was thinking about #VRChat the other day and how cool it is... But also what a bummer it is that such a culturally significant online space is in the hands of greedy corporate capitalists who can ultimately nuke those community spaces in seconds.

This is where I wish there was more resources for FOSS projects aiming to replace VRChat.

Though I also recognise that its complicated, because server infrastructure poses a HUGE issue here. But then, #federation is still a good answer.

@GrapheneOS The depressing part about this, is that I always thought that companies would want to treat "confidential" data like nuclear waste. Turns out I was really freakin wrong.

I'm thinking back to the time before I knew #Mastodon existed and how much worse my digital life was before it. Thank god that the #fediverse exists tbh

I fucking hate these people so so much. Absolutely ghoulish and spineless. Especially given a lot of the front bench credit the cooling down of the riots to their police efforts and not the anti fascist protestors.

I’m doing a presentation on queer affirming healthcare for some healthcare uni students on my course and a few other health related courses!

It’s based around health inequality and how to provide better healthcare experiences. But I need y’all’s help!
