@_elena I suspect is a tactic for deactivate disliked accounts. Contacting access-support@x.com resulted in some automated responses.

We tried to login, with correct credentials (from password .manager, so no chance to wrongly typing them). X says they need to verify that account, stating having sent a code to the associated email. Our server was never contacted by them (verified using the mail server logs).
