There are worse views for a relaxing birthday away from my desk and most of my responsibilities.

I made it into the sea at 7:30 this morning (after yesterday's failure), and it was bloody cold but also bloody brilliant, and set me up nicely for the day. Worth it, as always.

Oh ye of too much faith... I hit snooze on the wrong alarm and didn't make it. Maybe tomorrow.

@Antiqueight Usually when it's that early, I set my alarm but don't manage to get up. But I need to be up a bit earlier than usual anyway tomorrow, so I'm hopeful. If I go to bed now.

@carolconnolly I think his Murder on the Orient Express was the best and they've just been going downhill since then.
