@onni @GreenSkyOverMe Uffje... so wie ich das gerade sehe, wurden die Grenzen für die PGs allgemein angehoben...

The good thing about working at the datacenter: I can fix my server in case I break it.

The bad thing about working at the datacenter: I have to fix it myself and can't just call someone. /o\

Good morning!

normalize using your mail draft folder for temporary file storage and transportation

Did a massive file restructuring of my PC, and now Backblaze would re-upload like 5 TB of data.

I'm tempted to bring my PC into the datacenter temporarily and leverage the 1GBit connection I have there... *g*

I'm really tempted to try the new AI features in WordPress.

Obviously NOT for writing content itself, but for tasks like setting up a good meta-description and as a proof-reader (since I'm not a native English speaker).

And FOR SURE not for letting it mess up with the technical details. Tried that, it it went so horribly wrong it is almost fun. Looked plausible though.

@hellomiakoda @edolnx Check the SMART values of the drives, this could indicate drive issues.

The most important things first: we’re safe.

In today’s episode of „things I don’t need to experience again“: a wildfire just about 15km away.

@GreenSkyOverMe "Iiih, ein Ball!"

TIL: japanese train stations have... live streams. On YouTube.

Yay, video issues on the Pi 500 are gone!

During the update from Debian 12 to 13, something went wrong with the X11 and Wayland configuration, so I was running a weird "hybrid".

Selecting wayland again in raspi-config and rebooting works, now OpenGL performance is as expected!

meow.

The only thing that can save Firefox is a hard fork without Mozilla's involvement.

Remember how LibreOffice saved OpenOffice?

@hellomiakoda The good thing: This is something that using wayland probably won't fix.

@hellomiakoda is this the "original" DOSBox 0.74 or one of the modern forks (DOSBox-X, -staging)?

IIRC the old one still relies on SDL1. which is not aware of multiple screens.

@hellomiakoda Wayland is just an unnecessary solution to a problem that never existed. 😁

Yes, 86Box 5.0 supports the SafeDisc copy protection for CUE/BIN images as well!

How did they do it? Well, they told the emulated drive something about reading errors... correctly.

I'm on a mission to save one of my childhood favorites from getting lost to time. We know what's going wrong. And we know how to fix it.

After more than 20 years, "Masters of the Elements" by the Dutch studio IJsfontein is working again! Natively. On Windows 11.

But I'm not entirely done yet.

Sometimes when I have an idea for a new blog post, the hardest part is to actually get started, finding the right introduction and such.

Dear writers - do you have the same problems and if so, how do you encounter them?

Please #boost!
