Follow up: think for a minute about your standard customer that has to ring you up because either your website doesn't do the thing they needed to do, or worse says it does then fails.
How do you think someone who's already tried, struggled and failed to interact with you in that way is going to feel when the first thing your inconvenient phone service says to do is to go back to the website in a cheerily "hey it's easy to do this" voice?
