Big Tech bad, but be wary of the people suggesting you go free/open source for everything even when it's not convenient for you to do so. They really don't like it when you don't capitulate to their demands. It's like a religion.

Take the FOSS stuff into mind, but make your own decisions with all that. Freedom is not limiting yourself, but rather the ability to choose what works for you.

Got an emote gifted to me on Fortnite called "Reaper's Showtime". The singer sounded suspiciously similar to a certain radio demon, so I go and check and it turns out my suspicions were correct: it's a Hazbin Hotel fan song and of Alastor specifically.

the Arch Wiki is seen as one of the best resources to learn Linux but it seems to be so obtuse that people with seemingly more experience in Linux than myself are having trouble with it. Someone on Bluesky was having issues with setting up Samba, and blamed it on Microsoft. They said they used the Arch wiki, so I linked 'em the Fedora wiki guide for Samba and it immediately worked for them lmao

Wondering if I should start using the external hard drive I've got as my main drive again, backing up to the NAS setup, or keep using my NAS as the main one with the external drive acting as the cold backup?

@tk This does have an Intel wifi card in for when I used this as a Hackintosh, but everything is hooked up via Ethernet. I really should remove it when I'm not too lazy to. I'm just going to disable the module via modprobe.

It's just that I've had problems with iwlwifi (and the ethernet driver actually) on my main desktop.
